Because Men Get Fibromyalgia Too

Raising Awareness of Fibromyalgia in Men

Take Action

Men can no longer be considered the silent minority when it comes to dealing with the debilitating effects the syndrome has on our every-day lives.

And there are things we can do for ourselves to make life a little better or easier:

Help Raise Awareness:
Even if it's simply mentioning it to your colleagues at work or your mates in the pub, we can all do something to help raise awareness of fibromylagia. Don't hide your pain under a bushel (whatever a bushel may be.) Stand up and speak. The more people hear about fibromyalgia in men, the more likely we are to gain recognition and support. You can share your experiences of the condition here.

Join a Local Support Group:
A problem shared is a problem halved. Sometimes having someone to chat to about your illness can help you cope just that little bit better. Local support groups can be a great way to get out and meet new friends. As well as learning how they cope you can also garner information on what treatments are working for others. If there isn't a group close to you - why not set one up?

Lobby Your MP:
A quick letter or email to your local MP asking him/her to support an all-party committee for fibromyalgia is all it takes to raise the bar in raising awareness - find out how to Lobby Your MP

MORE COMING SOON.....
